Helping at risk children around the world heal through music and the arts.
Thank you for visiting the Invest in Children Global (IiCG) website. We exist to bring healing and hope to war-torn and traumatized youth around the world.
IiCG typically works with youth ages 12-18 due to the content of our curriculum, but we have also worked with a younger demographic in countries where a caregiver, teacher or youth mentor can help guide the students through the curriculum on an age-appropriate level.
We are dedicated to offering solutions to the problems threatening adolescent's mental and emotional well-being by developing programs that bring rehabilitation and healing.
In November of 2019, IiCG is offering music and art workshops to four group homes for refugees and orphans in Athens, Greece.
Our curriculum, "Taming the Angry Tiger", is focused on how these youth can use their individual strengths to overcome anger in healthy and positive ways. We also are encouraging the youth to think of ways to promote harmony within the group homes to achieve unity, acceptance and peace.
IiCG's goals for these workshops are to help build resiliency and coping skills so that kids may begin the healing process and become flourishing members of their community.
Christos Fousianis, our 'on the ground' team member, is helping us facilitate these workshops. We have enjoyed working with him over the past 3 years as we continue to grow and meet the needs of vulnerable youth and refugees in Greece.
